The Team behind Kwik
Being a small company, we understand the requirements of our target market - small independent businesses.
Our team are all dedicated to providing a first-class service to our clients and with this in mind we provide a brief outline for each of our team members

John W Tyzack - Administration

The "grand-daddy" of the team, since qualifying as an accountant John has spent the whole of his working life running his own companies and brings a wealth of experience in business law, company secretarial practice, accounting and administration into the Kwik operations.

John has always been motivated by and involved in businesses at the forefront of technology and enterprise. Even though he has been deeply involved in computers since the mid 1970's John still finds the industry exciting, mainly due to the fast moving pace of technology enhancement - and there is always something new to learn.

The first UK warranty insurance cover for used vehicles was developed by John in the early 1970's. An achievement which was repeated a decade later with the introduction of the UK's first loss & breakdown cover for cellular telephones.

Kwik's unison of technology and travel during 1993 was the brainchild of John and started with the first "lates" database. The urge to maintain a leading edge has provided John with the drive to develop Kwik's many other modules and enhance the scope and efficiency of operations, leading to today's wide range of services offered by Kwik.

The Internet and web design side of the Kwik business is handled by John who has designed many interactive web sites and Internet applications.

In his spare time John enjoys D.I.Y and gardening.

Lee Cook was born in 1972 and grew up in Richmond, Surrey.  It was here he developed an aptitude for computing and after leaving full time education in 1991 with a National Diploma in Computer and Systems Technology he joined a local IT support company and here developed his skills into the field of running and marinating Unix servers for various companies within the Slough area.

In 1996 Lee got more involved with the actual KwikData program and started writing the communications software for KwikData, which involved Z-Modem file transfers and then viewdata emulation and viewdata scripting.  During 1998 Lee took over sole responsibility of the KwikData program and started to re-write the software to include other functionality and better database searching with full integration into viewdata systems.

In 1999 Lee was promoted to Director of Technology here he still has sole responsibility for the KwikData software and has made major changes and re-writes to the software to upgrade it from a dos based package to a full windows based system.  He also is now in charge of the companies IT department where he continues to write internal software for database management, communications, web based application and when needed writing software for other companies.  Also included in his tasks is the full computer network administration of the company and advising the MD on new technologies that may be useful to implement within the company.

Paul Wilson - Programming Technician

Paul has lived locally all his life and cut his teeth in the programming world on a Commodore 64 at the tender age of ten. Growing up, his interest in computers and the technology surrounding them continued well into his teens. Upon leaving school with ten GCSE grades, he attended the overly titled “Information Technology and Business Applications” course at Beverley College leaving in September 1997 with a BTEC National Diploma at distinction level and countless other certificates.

Preferring to take a year out, Paul worked for little over a year taking light manual labour jobs in the countryside in order to keep some money coming in. He maintained a healthy lifestyle via his interest in team sports (chiefly football, but also tennis, badminton and basketball) which saw him finish his first season a firm favorite with the team if not the referees!

With a relaxing year off out of the way, Paul joined KwikHols Ltd in mid 1999 where he managed to teach himself Delphi (the computer programming language) in an astonishingly short period of time.  He has since written several applications for the company (KwikBook, KwikCash) and is currently expanding his knowledge, learning several different programming languages in his spare time.

JJ Stephenson - Data Entry & Validation

John is known to everyone as "JJ" to prevent confusion with firstnames between team members.

Having studied for a BTEC course in IT John joined the Insurance Administration Partnership on contract to develop DOS based software applications. He has maintained a close relationship with the Kwik directors and has been actively involved in the creation of most modules provided by Kwik.

JJ is responsible for the collation of consolidator prices and data input of cruise information, which keeps him fairly busy throughout the day.

Outside of work JJ's pastimes include "being a Granddad", which he says is his fun-time. He is an accomplished guitar player and does a really mean take-off of the "King".
