Position:
Spread along a sandy beach of the same name which covers 2» miles.

Description:
One of the busiest and liveliest resorts on the island. Ideal for spending days on the beach and going wild at night.

Suitability:
Larger hotels on the outskirts cater for all market types, especially families, while the centre is really only suitable for the young.

Accommodation:
The larger "A" class hotels offer a wide range of facilities. Very basic, small hotels and rooms are available in the centre.

Shopping:
Local shops offer cheap tourist souvenirs. Better shopping options in Rhodes Town.

Beach:
Long sandy beach extending length of resort with full range of water sports; umbrellas and sunbeds available. Packed like sardines at the height of the season.

Entertainments:
Daytime: chiefly the beach. Also good base for visiting other resorts like Lindos and Rhodes Town. Nightlife: a few quieter bars on the outskirts of the resort; centre consists of noisy bars and discos.

Eating:
Plenty of tavernas and restaurants serving a wide range of international and traditional Greek dishes. Also many snack bars where you can sink your teeth into a souvlaki at sunrise.

Regular bus service to Rhodes Town. Limited services to other resorts. Main taxi rank in centre of resort.
