A quiet stretch of coast near a tiny fishing community, a mile off the busy coast road where the village centre is located. The railway line runs close to the beach and two quality hotels.

Tropical sun-seekers. Romantic location for wedding.

Handful of self-contained resort-style beachfront complexes located away from village.

Shopping:
Little in immediate vicinity. A few shops in Kalutara.

Beach:
Long, undeveloped stretch of gently shelving sand backed by palm trees and railway line. Ocean can be rough and currents strong, so generally not good for swimming. Beaches outside major hotels are cleaned each day.
