Position:
Between the airport and the SE-facing shore.

Description:
A purpose-built development built to exploit the beach of the same name. Although it displays some vague signs of planning, there is no obvious focal point apart from the commercial centre.

Suitability:
Quieter, more restrained than neighbouring Puerto del Carmen.

Accommodation:
Moderate to good apartments, modern and well-equipped.

Shopping:
A modern commercial centre.

Beach:
Long, light and sandy, brightened by colourful parasols. The sand itself is compact and damp and frequently windswept, making the beach the least attractive in this area.

Entertainments:
Daytime: windsurfing (qualified instruction available), fishing, snorkelling. Nightlife: on the complexes, or at Puerto del Carmen.

Eating:
Limited options. The shopping centres often have a deserted air. More at Los Pocillos and Puerto del Carmen.

Public-transport:
Buses from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen pass through every 20 minutes.
