One of the most scenic stretches of coast in Greece, with pretty hamlets huddling around picturesque bays. Kalami is one such: a fishing village along a beach, surrounded by olive groves.

Suitability:
For those seeking no more than the beach, the location and a couple of tavernas. A car is almost essential.

Beach:
Sand and shingle, fairly shallow and suitable for children.

No discos and hardly any bars. More lively evenings at nearby Kassiopi.
