Position:
Opposite side of salt flats to Tingaki, on the coast.

Description:
Slowly developing resort in rural area, nearest village of Pyli is a short distance inland and retains some character. Area suffers from coastal winds as very exposed to the elements. Excellent views across to Turkey.

Suitability:
Caters for all types, especially those seeking a relaxing beach holiday.

Accommodation:
Spread out all over resort and seafront, some accessible only along dirt tracks. Hotels tend to be a higher standard than in other resorts, and many are new and offer a wide range of facilities.

Shopping:
Limited to a few small supermarkets and tourist shops.

Beach:
Long, sandy beaches offering little shade, some areas tend to be rather scruffy. Far end towards Mastihara mainly sand dunes. Water sports available at main resort centre.

Entertainments:
Most entertainment found in hotels.

Eating:
Small tavernas offering good standard of local cuisine.

Public-transport:
Limited bus service to Kos town, most hotels run courtesy or reduced rate buses.
